NSC | Why a Field Value changes automatically after Save
Scenario
A user enters or updates a field value on a transaction or record, but after saving, the value changes automatically to something else.
Common symptoms include:
- A department, class, or location changes after save.
- A checkbox becomes unchecked automatically.
- A status or approval field updates unexpectedly.
- Users enter one value, but a different value appears after the record reloads.
This is a common issue in NetSuite environments with workflows, sourcing logic, scripts, or multiple customizations affecting the same field.
