NSC | Why a Workflow Action works in Testing but not Released Mode
Scenario
A workflow action works correctly while the workflow is in Testing mode, but stops working after the workflow is moved to Released status.
Common symptoms include:
- Field updates stop applying.
- Workflow emails no longer send.
- Workflow buttons disappear.
- Actions work for the workflow owner but not for other users.
- Workflow history behaves differently between Testing and Released modes.
This is a common SuiteFlow issue caused by audience restrictions, execution context differences, role permissions, or deployment logic changing between workflow statuses.
Solution
Review the workflow deployment and execution settings to identify what changes when the workflow moves from Testing to Released mode.
