Upcoming Class and Department Behavior Update for Manufacturing Posting Transactions

This notice is intended for all customers using the Outsourced Manufacturing feature.

You are receiving this notification because your account uses Outsourced Manufacturing features in NetSuite. This notice is to inform you of an important upcoming update to how Class and Department values are sourced for Outsourced Manufacturing posting transactions.

What Is Changing?

In the minor release targeted for June 18, 2026, a fix is planned to standardize the behavior of Class and Department sourcing on Outsourced Manufacturing transactions. After the fix is implemented, the following behavior will apply:

  • If the Allow per-line Classes/Departments preference is enabled:
    • The Department and Class
