Hi all, we're looking at creating some simple custom tools to use with the MCP connector and Claude.ai. When we tried publishing the custom tool as an "account customization project" it showed up in our "Custom Tools" section in Netsuite, but not as an available tool in Claude. It seems like you can only use the standard tools on the website via "https://<accountid>.suitetalk.api.netsuite.com/services/mcp/v1/suiteapp/com.netsuite.mcpstandardtool" otherwise you get an "Invalid URL" and can't connect? For example- "https://<accountid>.suitetalk.api.netsuite.com/services/mcp/v1/all" cannot be added in Claude even though it is referenced in the NS documentation. (We are obviously changing the <accountid> part…)
So I'm not sure if the custom tool doesn't show up because the URL endpoint is limited (most-likely), or if there is some other error in the tool files I'm missing and it should be showing up.
We also tried remaking the project as a SuiteApp so that we could try a URL ending in an app, but are now hitting a roadblock that we need to get a publisher ID?
Are we missing something and there should be a different or simpler way to implement something like this?
