How do I CSV upload Related Items to item records? (SCA)

Question

Hi everyone,

We use Suite Commerce Advance and on the Web Store subtab of an item record lives this related items section.

How do I upload these via CSV? It doesn't appear to be an option type when uploading CSV records. I only see the main line Related Items Description.

Is it this additional file of Presentation Items I can use?

I also can't find anything about Related Items or Presentation Items to use in Saved Searches. Any ideas?

Hi @Dext3r

If I understand correctly, what you are trying to achieve is to add Related Item(s) (e.g. Item B) to a certain Item (Item A)?

To do that, you can simply create a csv file with the following fields:

* Internal ID: Enter the target Item - Internal ID
* Type: Set Item Type = Inventory Item (Optional)
* Related Item: Enter the Internal ID of item you want to add

Next: Import CSV File

* Scan & Upload CSV File:

Upload your CSV file.

Make sure the Import Type = Items and Record Type = Inventory Item

* Import Options:

- Select Add & Update

* Field Mapping:

Map the following fields:

- Internal ID = Internal ID

- Related Item = Item: Presentation Items 1 : Item

Field Mapping: Click on the pencil icon for Related Item

Set the following values: Choose Reference Type = Internal ID

Click on the Pencil Icon for the Item - Presentation Item 1 : Type > Click OK

Select Provide Default Value > Dropdown field: Select Item > Click OK

* Click Next > Set Import Map Name and ID > Click Save & Run

Review the status of import in the Job Status page.

Unfortunately, the ability to display related items in search results is not currently supported and remains an enhancement request, which is being tracked under Enhancement 124404 - Item Saved Search: List > Search > Saved Searches > New > Item - Ability to display related items in the search results.

As a temporary workaround, you can try the following the solution documented in SuiteAnswers ID: 37369 Ability to Display Related Items in Item Search.
