Is it possible to change the order in which global search results are returned?

Question

I don't like that if I search for a particular page that the results of global searching are all filled instead with file cabinet documents, saved searches, reports, hyperlinks and all sorts of other stuff.

Is there not some way to prioritise the types of results that are returned first? Or do I just always have to specify 'page:' in this example if that's what I'm looking for?

Good day!

Unfortunately the ability to sort the global search results is currently a limitation and enhancement filed under:

Enhancement 207747 Home > Set Preferences > Search/Reporting tab : Option to select Global Search results sorting.

However as a workaround you might want to try to enable Global Search Sort by Name/ID on Home > Set Preferences? This will sort global search results by name, instead of by record type and then by name within each record type.
