Workflow that Only Allow the Original JE creator to edit the Journal Entry

Hi Everyone:

I am trying to figure out a workflow that only allow the Original JE creator to edit the Journal Entry,

Right now I have one workflow with  two action on one state, below is the summary,

Workflow summary:

with one customized workflow filed as "entry maker"

And two actions on state 1

Action(1) Set Field value to return the value for original JE maker

Action (2) to lock record expect for Entry maker

But right now , the action one works, which it returns the value for the entry maker

But action 2 not working, which some one other than the entry maker still able to edit,

Can any one advise me how to make this workflow right?

Good day!

1. Make sure your Event Type field is set to "Create" for Action 1. Otherwise, the workflow might set the value of the field to whoever is the current user upon loading the record.

2. Tick the "Do Not Exit Workflow" checkbox in the state containing the "Lock Record" Action.

As shown below, the value is set in the "Active Workflow" sublist instead of the workflow history. "Do Not Exit Workflow" prevented the workflow from "ending". Therefore it will check the conditions every time the record is accessed.
