Some users may experience an issue where the page remains stuck on the loading screen after switching to NetSuite Next. When this happens, the user may be unable to continue working in the selected role or complete the transition to the NetSuite Next interface.
This article provides a simple troubleshooting step that NetSuite Administrators can perform to refresh the affected user’s role access.
Scenario
A user switches to NetSuite Next, but the page does not fully load. The user remains on the loading page and cannot proceed.
This may affect only a specific user or role assignment. Other users with the same role may still be able to access NetSuite normally.
Recommended Troubleshooting Step
Ask a NetSuite Administrator to remove and re-add the affected role from the user’s employee record.
Suggested steps for the administrator:
1.Go to the affected user’s Employee record.
To check, open the Explore menu (hamburger icon in the bottom left corner beside the home button). In the menu, go to Lists > Employees > Employees.
Click the three dots next to the affected employee's name, then select Edit.
2.Open the Access subtab.
3.Remove the affected role from the user.
4.Click Save.
5.Edit the employee record again.
6.Re-add the same role.
7.Click Save.
8.Ask the user to log out, clear the browser session if needed, and try switching to NetSuite Next again.
This step is intended to refresh the user’s role assignment without modifying the role itself. It should not affect other users assigned to the same role.
As a best practice, confirm the exact role affected before making changes. If the user has multiple roles, test the role where the loading issue occurs.
