Intelligent Close: Exceptions not updating

Hi There

In the intelligent close manager, I have a number showing against a task which links to the exception:

That exception has been resolved.

The portlet for intelligent close manager as well as the financial exceptions manaement have both been refreshed.

* Why does this number not update?
* how do I update the intelligent close manager so that it doesn't show exceptions from prior years?

Why does this number not update?

System-generated tasks and KPIs in the portlet refresh every hour. The timestamp indicates when the data was last refreshed. If the ICM timestamp has advanced by more than an hour after you resolved the exception and the number still remains, I would click the number again and check whether the exception it opens is actually still Pending Review, or whether ICM is counting another historical exception.

How do I update the intelligent close manager so that it doesn't show exceptions from prior years?

You generally can't configure Intelligent Close Manager to exclude prior years by fiscal year.

ICM counts qualifying exceptions with a posting period on or before the period selected in ICM. So if you're closing August 2026, an unresolved exception from 2024 can still be included.

To remove old exceptions from the count, you need to review them in Financial Exception Management and set them appropriately to Resolved or No Action Needed. Then allow for ICM's hourly refresh.

Note that ICM's period is an "up to this period" filter, not a "this period only" filter.
