Overview
NetSuite has introduced a new permission called Agent Skill. This permission is associated with the newer AI and agent functionality in NetSuite, including the infrastructure that supports Ask Oracle skills and related AI capabilities.
Administrators may notice this permission when reviewing roles and access for users who are working with NetSuite Next and Ask Oracle.
What the Agent Skill Permission Supports
The Agent Skill permission is part of NetSuite’s implementation of the underlying agent infrastructure. This infrastructure supports newer AI capabilities, including skills used with Ask Oracle.
Depending on how the permission is assigned, it may affect a user’s ability to work with Ask Oracle skills, such as viewing, invoking, or creating skills.
NetSuite Next: Open the Explore menu (hamburger icon in the bottom left corner beside the home button). In the menu, go to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles.
- View/Edit Role.
- Go to the Permissions tab.
- Open the Setup subtab.
