The company is restructuring so they want a different subsidiary for the Sales Orders created by specific Customers. Customers are assigned multiple subsidiaries so when using UI selecting a subsidiary during an order creation is not a problem. However, we mostly use integrations that do not send subsidiary with the order, and rely on the default (primary) subsidiary of the customer. Since we cannot change the primary subsidiary of a customer, the only remaining option besides updating the integration (which will take few weeks) is to set the subsidiary upon order creation using workflow or a script. Workflows do not allow manipulation of Subsidiary fields (known limitation). My question is, can a script set the subsidiary of a Sales Order upon creation after the Customer field is set? If that's possible I will look for a dev who can do that. I wanted to make sure first before asking for an impossible task. Thank you.
