Gift Cards anyone

I am looking at Nova gift cards and want to know if they work with the netsuite checkout.  Specificly - if a gift card is worth $50 and the customer orders $100   - does the Netsuite online checkout take the card then take the rest on a credit card?  We use Nova for our processeing now in conjunction with payflopro
