Client Side Record Manipulation NLAPI Methods

I noticed that the nlapiCreateRecord, nlapiLoadRecord and nlapiDeleteRecord methods are available to client side scripts. I remember an earlier post stating that these methods are being phased out of the client side scripting. Is this true?
