Selecting inactive record on Custom Record Type field

I have a custom record type which has a field that is a list/record of another type.

I would like to be able to not only select Active records, but we have a need for selecting even Inactive records as well.

This needs to be done via SuiteScript on a schedule.

Is this possible?
