Scripted updates to file cabinet

edited Jan 8, 2020 3:33AM in SuiteCloud / Customization 1 comment

We have an website on which we display our items.  We are looking at using Netsuite's built in webstore and would like to have images for each of our items.  However, our images can get quite large and we don't want to upload all of them to the File Cabinet.  When you create a file cabinet file, you can choose to either upload the file or pull it from a URL.  The URL is desirable because we can now update one image and have all online references to that image be updated.

The problem is that we have a lot of items and it is just not feasible to create all the file cabinet files one at a time.  We considered scripting it, but are having difficulty finding a working API for it.  The functions in the help center under SuiteCloud (Customization, Scripting, and Web Services) : SuiteScript : SuiteScript API : SuiteScript Functions : File APIs look like they would work, but upon testing, they do not seem to exist!

Howdy, Stranger!
