Formula Needed To Auto Populate Assembly Description

I am trying to create a formula that will pull all of the component items on an assembly and put them into the description field. I am trying to automate the input of these fields as most of my items description use the following logic:

Item Name
Assembly Component 1, Assembly Component 2, Assembly Component 3, Assembly Component 4, Assembly Component.....
Assembly Notes

I have setup a workflow to do this on create and edit, but I can't seem to find the code to pull the assembly components into the formula.

Is this possible?
