Since our upgrade to 2008.1, every matrixed item in our web catalog has doubled up on the Item Options on the drilled-down item screen- for us that is Color, size, etc.

The first instance of each option works in every case, but if only the second instance is chosen, and a selection is made there, adding the item to the cart throws an Unavailable Options error. Here's an example, but every matrixed item in our catalog is like this:

Miravit Zapico has issued case #702992 which refers to "Defect 13903- Item options appearing twice for matrix items" but there is no indication in my ticket how severe this problem is or what to expect or do about it. Obviously, this is a v2008.1 bug. There is at this point no workaround to prevent this behavior, which is a major inhibitor to sales, makes our site look incompetently administered, and is creating a firestorm for me personally.
