CSV Import - An Unexpected Error

Now running 2010.2 and attempting a CSV import using a Saved CSV Import created and used successfully for over a year.  All is well through Scan & Upload CSV File > Import Options > File Mapping > Field Mapping > but the import fails with 0 of x records imported successfully.   The CSV response for each record "An unexpected error has occurred.".

Resaved the Saved CSV Import so it is fresh under 2010.2.  Same result.  Through process of elimination, I am now trying to import just one record and have eliminated as many fields as possible but still "An unexpected error has occurred."

Any ideas?
