Lead Source now in Sales Order?

Since the new update, we have now had the 'lead source' field appear in our sales orders (as well as the customer account) where as before, it was just in the customer account which makes more sense to me. This wouldn't be so annoying except that the lead source now defaults to a marketing campaign that has been inactive for 5 years, oddly enough. How can I set the default to be the same as the customer that the sales order was generated from?
