"Date marked Shipped" field needed in item fulfillment

I need a "Date marked Shipped" field in our item fulfillment records.  Does NS have such a field?  If not, could one be created using a formula field?  It would need to hold the most recent date that the fulfillment was marked shipping ...to accommodate for those weird situations where we have to backpedal to fix a problem on a fulfillment.
