Item Specific Shipping Method

We have set up and use 3 standard shipping methods, one as default and two options for geographical regions.  These apply to our NS web store and orders created manually.

We now want to automatically apply a new set of 3 shipping methods for a certain group of items, both for web store and internal users.

Any ideas how to do this please?
