How to get a lead

We are really new to Netsuite, and have a question. How is an outside sales rep to get leads posted in Netsuite? If we create a lead, and assign it to a specific sales rep, say Daffy Duck, how does Daffy get that lead? My thinking is that Daffy would have to log into the account and perform a function to see any new accounts assigned to him. Is this correct? Any help is greatly appreciated!
