Rates do not show on Quotes when using Item Groups!

If I enter in an item group and DO NOT show "Display Components on Transactions" (ie. unchecked) the entire group does not show a default rate.

Is there any solution here?

My sales teams sells 8 "Systems" and there should be a rate associated with it.
