Enabling and Using Projects

I have enabled the "Basic Project" but when I'm under a customer profile , there is no option to create "new project". Also, when enabling the basic project under Setup/Company/Enable Features there is no option to enable the Advanced Project.

Has anyone had success using "Projects".
