Capturing customer lead source?

I have set up some special pages as we are working with another company and want to capture the customers that they refer to our site.

I have provided the company with the following link:-

The problem I have is if a potential customer follows this link and then registers(So now a lead) and I look at the lead source in the customer record it is empty. I need to be able to identify customers who have been referred to us as they do not want us to send any marketing emails to those customers.
