Can Performa invoice be created without having a GL impact?

It is the end of financial year and many customers want to order goods but only receive goods after the new financial year.
Performa invoices issued to customer created a GL impact which create a huge income impact this financial year but no actual goods are being transferred until next month. Can Peforma nvoice be created but not have an GL mpact?
