Category Images

Can someone help me with replacing category names by images? I have set up images and added them to the category, but they are showing up as tiny and therefore you can't read the text. I tried adding one to the "image" field as well as the "thumbnail" field, but can't even see any difference.

To get an idea of what I am talking about, go to "http://www.hrdcentral.com/Training-Resources-Product-Catalogue/Business-Management-Training-Resources"  to see where I have started loading my new images with titles included.

What I am trying to achieve is something like this "http://shop.roomitup.com/Shop-Now
