Filtering Results on Search Page

edited Dec 18, 2019 1:45AM in Web Site / E-Commerce 4 comments

I currently have the Netsuite Site Builder license (not SuiteCommerce Advanced SCA) and I am looking to improve my Global Search.

Right now, it seems the native functionality is simply to query the items for the search phrase, and then output the results in alphabetical order. This causes some problems when you have both inventory items, and kit/package items with different names. Sometimes the inventory item you are looking for gets burried so far under kits that you cant even find the inventory item you are looking for.

Ideally i'd like to have a bit more control over how my global search results are sorted. maybe by item type, then search relevance strength. Id also like to display "related items" for the top match in a column to the right and id like to display some attribute filters in a column on the left that lets you narrow down the results on the page like this:

Howdy, Stranger!
