Reference Checkout - Restrict Payment Method based on custom item field on item record

Hi,

is it possible to restrict the payment methods available based on a custom item field on an item record using Reference Checkout? We have some items that PayPal does not allow us to sell through them. Currently we have a custom checkbox field that we check if PayPal do not allow it. If an item has this checked then it needs to remove the PayPal payment buttons from the shopping cart and payment sections.
