Serialized Item fields displayed on main item

I want to see the fields for each serialized item on the main item page.  Otherwise I need to click on each serialized item and then back and forth many times to get details on each item.  We should be able to drill down into the serialized item fields from the main item.  It would make things a lot easier and it seems like an easy thing to do.

I was told it was a feature to be added with this new release.  I've tried the Beta release and it looks like the feature was not added.  Am I missing something?
