Can Credit memo show on Invoice?

Is there any way to get the CREDIT MEMO to show up on the Invoice that's applied to?

I want to issue a credit memo and have it applied to the next invoice I send out to the customer. I want them to readily see what the credit is for, and how much it is, and have it automatically deducted from the total due on their next invoice.

Any ideas?
