In our Sales Order transaction forms, there is a date field that order entry populates to store the ship date of the order. This date often times changes. We would like to be able to store the original start date entered in this field, in another entitled "Original Start Date". Therefore- the "Start Date" field could be a field that evolves but the Original Start Date records the original value of the "Start Date" field value. Is this possible?

I can create a custom field which defaults to the value of "Start Date" but this dynamically changes when the value of Start Date is editing. Any way to set the dynamic default but not update?
