2012.1 Transaction Body Fields - How do they function?

edited Dec 3, 2019 11:49AM in SuiteCloud / Customization 3 comments

Hello All,

Transaction Body Fields seem to have some 'special' abilities.

I have a Transaction Body Field of type 'checkbox' that is applied to my sales order, return authorization, and cash refund forms.

It is not defaulted to checked (so i assume it is defaulted to unchecked). However if the field is checked on the Sales Order and then a RA or Cash refund is created, the RA/CR will have a checked 'checkbox' instead of the default unchecked value.

So I am led to believe that either custom Transaction Body Fields have their defaults overridden by the record they are created from or they have some type of dynamic data link between the records (like sourcing).

Howdy, Stranger!
