Customization of multi-location inventory columns?

As of 2014.2 screen real estate is at a premium and all of a sudden a lot more columns have started appearing with our inventory numbers- confusing for sales, however I can't for the life of me find how to hide certain columns here?

For example, we currently don't make use of 'Qty in transit' and would like to hide it. We also have both 'Qty on hand' and 'Qty on hand (base unit)' and would like to hide one of these too.

Is there any way to do this?
