How Do I Separate Item Pricing Permissions?

We need to have two different roles that can EDIT different sections of the Item record/form:
[LIST=1]
[*]Role 1 -- Can EDIT all Item data except Pricing/Price Levels
[*]Role 2 -- Can VIEW all data, but EDIT ONLY Item Pricing/Price Levels[/LIST]How can I do this?

I have tried the following without success:
[LIST=1]
[*]Role permissions -- I can find only one permission related to Items.[LIST]
[*]Permissions > Lists > Items
[*]It appears to be an all or nothing
[*]I don't see any permission to restrict Item pricing[/LIST]
[/LIST]Form Field Display

[LIST]
[*]Most, but not all, Item fields can be set to display "INLINE", but there is no control over the display of Item Pricing
