Assembly Build, Custom Text Box Field (on row)

Hey-

We want to make notes during an assembly on specific components that are part of an assembly build.

Our solution was to have a Custom Item Field, text box for example, that would appear as a column in the sublist. Is there a way I can create a field that lets me type in notes for each row (ie. Item that is part of a build?)
