Disable inventory auto-allocation after sales order is saved

Hi,

I would just like to ask if there's a way or option to disable the 'auto-allocation' of inventory items as committed after a sales order is saved?

I know that there's an option to add the "commit" field on the item columns and set it as "do not commit" so that the items will not be automatically allocated, but just wondering if there's a setting to just simply disable the auto-allocation feature.
