Demand Planning
We are looking into using the Demand Planning feature within Netsuite but our first look at the documentation and description of the feature has raised some concerns which I hope someone can straighten out..
Firstly, I'll give you a brief outline of our stock ordering process. For the most part we place large orders with one of our suppliers that might take 2-3 months to arrive. If we happen to run out of stock before this order arrives, we will go to other suppliers that can get us smaller quantities in a shorter amount of time. We use the order items page regularly to keep an eye on stock levels and place these smaller orders as and when required.
