Inventory Adjustment Not Zeroing Value

Today I ran an Inventory Adjustment for a product that had 38 units on hand valued at $9000. I adjusted the inventory down to zero and submitted adjustment. When I went back to the item it showed the inventory was valued at $0 with 0 quantity exactly as expected. About 30 seconds later the full valuation reappeared at $9000 but the quantity was still zero! I deleted the adjustment and tried entering it again but this time closely monitored what was happening. After I submitting the adjustment I immediately opened the GL impact. It starts off fine and properly moves
