Item Availability Running Total
Has anyone created a way to quickly show a real time running total for an Item considering on hand balance, pending sales orders and pending purchase orders. It would be similar to the Inventory Reallocation screen by Expected Ship Date.
We have the following (oversimplified) scenario:
Item A - 100 units on Hand.
Sales Order for Item A - Qty 80 - Due 6 months from now - Commit set to Available Qty.
Purchase Order for Item A - Qty 100 - Due 4 months from now.
Current Status: 100 Units On Hand, 20 Available (80 committed to SO).
A customer calls in a new SO and requests 40 Units of Item A.
