Item Pricing based on Item Weight?

edited Nov 26, 2019 8:36AM in Accounting / ERP 2 comments

Does anyone have any suggestions for managing Item Pricing where the price is determined from the product weight?

We have approx. 60 items where the prices fluctuate regularly due to the market rate of the material (sold per Kg). All the items have their weight recorded in NetSuite.

We use multiple Price Levels to grant customer different pricing based on their size and spend.

At the moment we have to calculate all the prices in Excel (based on the price per Kg), and then bulk update all the Items. If someone wants to negotiate the price (in increments of 1p / Kg) then they have to use custom pricing, and calculate the price based on the item weight (which is quite slow and prone to errors).
