Multiple Units of Measure Best Practice
When setting up Multiple Units of Measure, is there a best practice when there are multiple breakdowns? For example, we have many items that are sold by the Box, but there are numerous different packing levels for Cartons, like 4 BX/CT, 6 BX/CT, 12 BX/CT, etc. Is it better to create three Unit Types in this example:
Type Name: Box: 4 BX/CT
| Name | Plural Name | Abbreviation | Plural Abbreviation | Conversion | Base Unit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Box | Boxes | BX | BXs | 1 | True |
| Carton | Cartons | CT | CTs | 4 |
Type Name: Box: 6 BX/CT
| Name | Plural Name | Abbreviation | Plural Abbreviation | Conversion | Base Unit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Box | Boxes | BX | BXs | 1 | True |
| Carton |
