One of my customer is planning to change their Item strategy. They want to bring individual items from legacy system to Matrix items in NetSuite. That would change the Item names as they are planning to remove location code at the end (they can track items per location).

E.g., ABC-White CA

        ABC-Black CA

        ABC-Gray CA

        ABC-Brown CA

        ABC-White NY

        ABC-Black NY

        ABC-Gray NY

        ABC-Brown NY

These are all individual items in current legacy system.

Parent Item: ABC

Child Items: ABC-White

                    ABC-Black

                    ABC-Gray

                    ABC-Brown

Here the question is how would we bring open transactions (SOs, POs)as the item names would be different? is there any workaround to accomplish this requirement.
