Opening Item Inventory Stock Balances & Updates

I am currently in the process of migrating inventory from Linnworks out to NetSuite (Channel Advisor, NetSuite, PeopleVox and Shipster).  I need to register opening stock balances for Inventory Items and in addition provide a flow to import updates ready for the go live date.   I cannot find any good documentation for either one of these requirements, can anyone provide either instruction or a url to some good documentation for the two processes?
