Inventory Item Reorder Point Calculation - How do you come up with the Demand
I am looking at Inventory Item Reorder Point Auto Calculation definition (see below). Does anyone know exactly how the Demand is determined, is it the quantity sold or work order built over certain period? How long this look back period is? Is there a setting I can change for this demand calculation period? I don't have the demand planning module, I have the advanced inventory module.
NeSuite Reorder Point Auto calculation definition is: The Reorder Point is the quantity level at which you need to reorder or build more of this item.
- Auto-Calculating – Check the Auto-Calculate box if you want NetSuite to calculate the reorder point based on demand for the item over time. The reorder point depends on the safety stock definition and is calculated as follows:
