Item Fulfillment 'Status' field

Hello,

Is it possible to manipulate the Field ID: shipstatus on the IF record? This field cannot be found in the customize form option. I've only found it possible to manipulate (hide) through a workflow solution. Client would like to move it. Is a suitescript solution the only way feasible here?
