Analytics Yearly Overlay

How do you modify the inputs to display a yearly overly. I have a date driven column that is just adding to the prior year in the analytics graph. I want to start a new graph to overlay for yearly comparisons.

In addition, the default display for the months are 1, 2 & 3. How do you change it to display to reflect the name January, February, March..
