Is there a way to create Vendor flux report

We need to create a vendor flux report/saved search. This would be a report that takes all GL impacting activity for a vendor (bills, JE's) not bill payments, and do a quarter over quarter analysis.

I have created a transaction saved search with criteria type (JE and Bills) and added date filter in the results, name etc. fields but, don't know if that is the correct way of creating it. How do I run the report quarter over quarter? Your immediate help on this is greatly appreciated.
