Stock Ledger Daily View

I'm looking for a way to build a report showing the ending inventory on hand (or available) on a daily view over a period of time. For example, I would like to view the month of August and view the ending inventory on hand for each day in August per item on the same report.

I thought I could start by using the Stock Ledger report but I'm unable to remove some of the columns on that report. Has anyone built something like this? I'd want to be able to filter the date range at the bottom like the Stock Ledger.
