Password Policy Change affect on users

Hello!

We're planning on changing a couple of settings on our company's password policy (complexity requirements, length, and expiration), but aren't sure what impact it will have on our users.

If I change those three settings, will it force our users to reset their passwords immediately or will it wait until the next time they have to change naturally?

I'm just trying to figure out what type of communication I need to send out to the business to prepare them for this change and appreciate any help you can provide!
